The Sydney Royal Easter Show was held (dates) with an expected 852,000 attendees coming through the gates. Animals, livestock and farming was a huge attraction for guests attending, with the Pig Pavilion being the most visited,  with 49% of surveyed guests visiting the pigs in past years.

This year, APL had an information stand talking all things pig farming and pork with show visitors, as well as supporting farmers who were at the show displaying their pigs.

The show is a great opportunity to  showcase for our industry to the community, with farmers travelling from all over Australia to present.

Attractions in the pig pavilion included:

  • Pig inspections
  • Stud pig judging
  • Pat a pig
  • Wash a pig
  • school hoof competition
  • Pigs and Pinot
  • Pig judging workshop
