AusPig
AusPig is an advanced decision support system for the Australian pork industry. Its complex modelling integrates the latest R&D to assist producers with improving productivity and maximising returns.
AusPig has the potential to optimise feeding operations, improve efficiency of resource utilisation and increase returns per pig. AusPig integrates the latest R&D from around the world into the following four components:

• Expert systems to analyse and interpret model outputs
AusPig couples on-farm performance and resource use with sophisticated Windows-based decision-support software. It models the herd's unique performance characteristics to determine more profitable pig management strategies.

• Feeding levels, the use of capital, labour and other resources
• Weight and quality of carcase to sell
• Modification of climatic and other housing conditions.
