APL's scholarship program supports undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in pursuing a career in the pork industry.
Doug Ross Pig Industry Award
This award recognises the contribution of the late Doug Ross, veterinarian and mentor of young people in the pork industry, through supporting travel costs up to $6000 to enable a veterinary student interested in a career in the pork industry to improve their skills and build industry contacts which will contribute to their future career. This biennial award will be next open for application in January 2012, to be awarded in March 2012.
Pork CRC

Science and Innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
The Science and Innovation Awards enable scientists aged 18-35 to undertake projects of benefit to agricultural and related industries. The pork industry award sponsored by APL is valued at $20 000 with a further $30 000 (Minister's Award) available to one of the 13 category winners.
